Sharon Schuler

Sharon Kae Schuler was born on February 9, 1946, in Holyoke, Colorado. She passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the age of 76, in Julesburg, Colorado.

Sharon grew up on her parent's farm, south of Julesburg. She was one of the final grades to attend the one-room country school house. The family later moved into town in Julesburg in 1961. Sharon graduated from Julesburg High School with the class of 1964.

Sharon was always willing to help where she could and was detail-oriented. She worked at the Almar Developmentally Disabled Center for 15 years. She later worked at the Sedgwick County Nursing Home for ten years and also in the hospitality industry for five years.

If you were to drive by Sharon's house in the summer, it wasn't uncommon for her to be outside doing yardwork with Bernice and mowing the lawn. She was a stickler about the lines. They better be straight.

Sharon enjoyed baking all sorts of desserts, especially her chocolate sheet cake brownies. Her nieces and nephews were a special treat to her when they visited. She cherished family time during the holidays and quickly threw in the occasional jab with her witty sense of humor. You might think Sharon wasn't paying attention while quietly sitting with a toothpick in her mouth, but she always listened to the conversation and would throw in a surprising zinger that would get everyone laughing.

On the weekends, you could find Sharon and her mom, Bernice, at the high school football and basketball games to support her nephews and their friends as they grew up. When she couldn't attend the games in person, she'd still show her support by listening over the radio. And on Sundays, you could always find Sharon in her recliner watching the Broncos.

Sharon is survived by her sister Linda Dolezal and brother Jack (Kathi) Schuler. Nieces/Nephews: Lisa Von Hoff, Allison (Ben) Harrell, Chris Dolezal, JR (Amanda) Schuler, Carleton Dolezal (Natalie Swanson). Great Nieces/Nephews: Joe, Nick, Sam (Katie), Frasca, Kelsie (Alex) Wintersteen, Mackenzie, Nevy Harrell, Ella, Jace and Charlie Dolezal, Macy and Jack Schuler. Great-Great Niece/Nephew: Madelyn and William Frasca.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, H. Arthur Schuler and Bernice Schuler, and great-great-niece; Kaylie Rose Silzell.

Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Julesburg Prairie Hills Funeral Home Chapel, with Jack Schuler officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg.
