Rick Brown's kind, loving, and compassionate spirit came into this world through Richard and Dawne Brown on August 26th, 1970, and his physical presence left us on January 11th, 2025.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial service will be held at Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Julesburg at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with Pastor Curtis Magelky officiating. Military Honors will take place immediately following the service inside the chapel. Casual attire is requested. Online Condolences may be left for the family at www.prairiehillsjulesburg.com.
His spirit will live within us forever. For Rick's entire life he never chose to live his life within the box, he was always an out of the box thinker. He had numerous hobbies and passions, yet the thing he was most proud of and compassionate for was his family. For those that were blessed to know Rick, you knew that family did not stop at blood. He embraced numerous friends and co-workers as his family as well and the impact he had on those relationships will live on forever with his legacy.
Rick leaves behind a legacy that will go unmatched. For those of us who will always carry him in our hearts I can tell you he inspired a type of drive, integrity, and love that we will do our very best to honor and uphold for the rest of our days. Rick will live on through the eyes and spirits of his children, the music that plays around us and the obnoxiously loud motorcycles that we see and hear on the road. Through the love that we feel from those around us while we gather together to honor and remember him, from his onery smirk to his quick-witted retorts, bad dad jokes to the more tender moments, his soul will carry the flame for all eternity.
Rick is survived in death by his wife Jamye; four children Jarrette, Emberleigh, Karcidee, and Iker; parents Richard and Dawne Brown; brother Curt (Stef) Brown; sisters Andrea (James) Adams, Jeannie (Mike) Ochsner; Rick leaves behind several nieces and nephews and extended family, as well as a best friend that had been a large part of his life, Amanda Zogg.
Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also now joins his friends he has lost along the way; may their reunion have cold beer, good music, and a fully stocked garage.
Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, In the halls of Valhalla, Where the brave may live forever!
