Patricia Ann "Trish" Farmer, 72, of Julesburg, passed away on November 16, 2023, in Loveland, CO.
Trish was born on April 28, 1951, in Newcastle, WY, to Earl Grant and Marjorie Ellen (Roberts) Bock. She attended Osage High School before graduating from Upton High. Trish studied at Sheridan College before earning her nursing degree at Casper College.
Trish married Mark Lyman Farmer at Casper, Wyoming, on December 20, 1972, and their union was blessed with two sons, Derek and Cedric. The couple lived in Denver, Colorado Springs, and San Antonio, TX, before settling in Julesburg, where Trish worked at the hospital and Mark opened up a dental practice. The couple also owned and operated a bike shop for many years in Julesburg. Trish began working as a traveling nurse in 2000. She subsequently spent time working at the Pine Ridge Reservation, North Platte, NE, Douglas, WY, and Chamberlain, WY.
Trish was an excellent nurse, having all of the traits of a gifted care provider. She was sharp and possessed a take-charge attitude that served her well and garnered the respect of others.
When Trish wasn't at work, she deeply loved the farm life. She had a great affection for animals and enjoyed raising cattle, chickens, geese, and pigs, to name a few. Trish also loved to knit and crochet. Perhaps among her greatest passions were those of fitness. Trish biked countless miles in her lifetime and partook in many Triathlons and Marathons over the years, many of which with her husband Mark right alongside her.
Trish is preceded in death by her parent's siblings, Darrell Bock and Judy (Al) Patz; nephew, Rodney Bock; and sister-in-law, Kay Bock.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Farmer of Julesburg; sons, Derek Farmer of Julesburg and Cedric Farmer (Erin Koubek of Fort Collins, CO; brother, Gary Bock of Wright, WY; sister-in-law, Nancy Bock of Gillette, WY, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial has been established in Trish's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com, where the services will be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Julesburg, with Pastor Kerry Johnson officiating.
