Patricia "Pat" A. Hite

PATRICIA "PAT" A. HITE, 91, formerly of Julesburg, CO, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Regent Park Nursing Home in Holyoke, CO.

Pat was born on February 21, 1932, in Denver, CO, to Alvin and Ruth (Fender) Johnson. She graduated from Julesburg High School with the class of 1951.

Pat married George G. Hite on January 1, 1954, at the Washington Park Methodist Church in Denver, CO. They were blessed with four children: James, Greg, Kent, and Janalea.

Pat's husband, George, served in the United States Air Force for 21 1/2 years. His service took them to many States. Among them, they were stationed in Oklahoma, Kansas, California, Hawaii, and New Mexico. After his retirement, they made their forever home in Julesburg, CO.

Pat worked for many years at Carolyn's Flowers. She always referred to herself as the "The Blooming Idiot."

Pat was an avid Bronco fan and adorned her Bronco Shirt and Bronco Crocs every game day.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sons, Greg and Kent; a grandson, James Ashley Hite; and nephew, Craig Johnson.

Pat is survived by her son, Jim Hite of Natoma, KS, and daughter, Jan Olson of Billings, MT; five grandchildren, Jamie Marie, Danielle, Tyler, Zachary, and Taylor; brother, Al Johnson of Livermore, CO; nieces, Jo-Di Tapia, and Tina Bannick; nephew, Fred Johnson; along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Pat's memory for the Julesburg Alumni Association. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com, where the services will be streamed live.

Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Julesburg.

Memorial services will be on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Alan Harris officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery at Julesburg.
