KENNETH TRANEL, of Holyoke, CO, passed away at his home Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Holyoke, CO.
Kenneth was born on June 6, 1949, to LaVern and Doris (Robb) Tranel. He graduated from Big Springs High School with the class of 1967.
Kenneth went to college in Sterling before returning home to farm and truck with his father. He later became a licensed real estate appraiser, which he did for many years.
Kenneth had a wonderful sense of humor and a mind and appreciation for history. He had a particular fascination for local history. Having grown up and worked on a farm, Kenneth had a great love for his horses and cattle.
Kenneth fought his battles in life, as we all do. Though he knew hardship, his faith deepened. Kenneth's faith has become sight, and his struggle is now over. May he rest in the peace of Christ.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, LaVern and Doris Tranel.
Survivors include; sisters Kathleen (Brent) Rochlitz of Big Springs, Konni (Dave) Sauder of Big Springs, Kori (Karoll) Ham of Big Springs; special friend, Jackie Delatour of Harrison, NE; children, Kayte (Kevin) Partch and Abby (Rob) Smith; and four granddaughters; Kendall, Kellan Partch, Magaret, and Quinn Smith.
A memorial has been suggested in Kenneth's memory.

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Julesburg, with Fr. Jerry Rohr as Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Inurnment will be in Big Springs Cemetery at Big Springs, NE.
