In Loving Memory of Julie Diane (Lee) Geschwentner

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Julie Diane (Lee) Geschwentner, who departed from this world on January 8, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on December 13, 1960, in Alamosa, Colorado, Julie was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence enriched the lives of many.

Julie grew up in Englewood, Colorado where she displayed an early passion for fashion merchandising, cheerleading, and Pirette flag girl for the school band. After graduating from Englewood High School in 1979, she pursued higher education at the University of Arizona and Arapahoe Community College.

Julie married John Geschwentner in 1982 in Littleton, Colorado, and together they built a home with their only child, Rachel. They had been married for forty-one years. Julie was the oldest child of four siblings, Janet (Lee) Tatum, Michael, James, and Casey.

Julie had a passion for football and most especially, the Denver Broncos of which she collected many of the Broncos memorabilia. She enjoyed being out in the sun and while living in Florida for a period of time, she enjoyed boating as well as the beach whenever the opportunity arose. She was a big fan of Michael Jackson and loved attending his concerts.

Julie is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Perkins and husband, John. She is survived by her father Brian, siblings Janet, Michael, James, and Casey, daughter Rachel, granddaughter Julia, and grandson Anthony, along with step-father Leo, step-mother Peggy, step-sister Sara Fair, and step-brother Jeff Perkins, brothers-in-law Greg Tatum, Jim, Ron, Jerry, Doug, Jeff Geschwentner, and sisters-in-law Claretta ,Toni Lee, and Tracy Lee, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was Godmother to her brother Casey and nephew Taylor.

Julie's legacy is one of compassion, warmth, love, kindness, thoughtfulness, generosity and humor and simply put, a beautiful soul. As we remember Julie, we are reminded of the many ways she touched our lives, from family gatherings to rooting for her favorite team, the Denver Broncos.
