Joseph Paul Raymond was born in Little Falls, NY, on June 14, 1938, and peacefully crossed over at home on November 14, 2023.
Joe was a one-in-a-billion honorable, genuine, dignified man. He was kind and generous and put all others above himself. He pursued and retired from a career that allowed him the opportunity to dedicate many years of his life to protect and serve, not only his country and communities but his family as well. He was a man of true integrity and the true definition of a 32 Degree Freemason.
His career included three years in the Army. He spent 30 years with the Department of Defense, traveling the world serving as a communications engineer and training countless troops, which garnered him a great many accolades. He then served another 20 years in law enforcement and finally (reluctantly) retired at the age of 75.
Joe loved, supported, and provided for his family and was a present role model who always led by example. He was a true warrior, a protector, a peacekeeper, and a provider.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alberta, sister Jean, and granddaughter Lillie.
He is survived by his wife Joan, brothers David (Joyce) and Wil (Leslie) and James; sister Alberta, son Joseph William, daughter Molly Grenier, stepdaughter Jennifer (Willie) Evans; stepson Jeremy Smith; grandchildren Sophia, Marrissa, Gaylen, Rheanna, Breegan, William, and Brinley, great-grandchildren Wyatt, Paislie, and Rhonin.
The examples and memories of his deep-rooted integrity and honor will live on through his family and friends for many lifetimes.
Prairie Hills Funeral Home assisted the Raymond family.
