Evelyn Ann Porth

Evelyn Ann Porth, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022 at her home in Westminster, Colorado. She was born on January 23, 1930 in Ovid, Colorado to the late James and Helen (Slavik) Brogan.
Evelyn grew up and attended school in the Ovid, Colorado area. She graduated from Ovid High School in 1948. As a profession, she was a homemaker, waitress and bartender and she also enjoyed selling Tupperware and Avon.
She loved family gatherings and cherished her friends and family and shared some of the best stories from her bartender days. Even as her mobility declined, she enjoyed spending precious time with her granddaughters, Nicole and Mikala, Mikala's husband Mike, her great-grandchildren, Rae and Alexis and visits from other family members and friends at her home.
Evelyn is survived by her loving family that includes her children, Shirley Walters, Ken (Linda) Brees, Doug (Tracey) Brees, Bev Thompson, Kelvin (Helen) Brees; grandchildren, Gloria, Matt, Nicole, Kelly, Kristin, Troy, Michelle, Brandi, Dawn, Donald, Aaron, Stephanie, Michael, Mikala, Aaron, Mike, Matt; precious great-grandchildren Adam, Samantha, Rae, Chase, Jareth, Arcana, Noah, Seth, Sidney, Skyla, Jordan, Brooke, Diviny, Adonis, Esamay, Aayden, Alexis; great-great grandchild Braven as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and three siblings, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Porth, son, Dennis Brees and grandchild Lindsay.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229. Rosary prayers at will commence at 6:00 p.m.
Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church 3141 West 96th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado 80031.
A burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg, Colorado on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.
A reception (celebration of life) will be held at a later date/time.
