ELIZABETH "BETTY" C. (RILEY) PAQUETTE, 80, of Julesburg, passed away March 22, 2020, at the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

Betty was born June 4, 1939, at Harrisville, Rhode Island, to James and Catherine (Powell) Riley Sr. She graduated from Harrisville High School.

On June 25, 1960, Betty married Raymond P. Paquette Sr. The couple made their home in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, before moving to California in June of 1976, where Betty did clerical work for the Sierra National Forrest. In the late 1990s, the couple made the move to Julesburg, where they made many wonderful friends. Most recently, Betty had been residing at the Regent Park Nursing Home in Holyoke.

Betty enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and watching movies, preferably about faith. Her Catholic faith was important to her, and she carried that faith throughout her life.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel; an infant son, James; and two siblings, James Riley Jr., and Patricia LaPointe.

Survivors include her husband of nearly sixty years, Raymond Paquette Sr.; her children, Donna Arrollo of Julesburg, Raymond (Wendy) Paquette Jr. of Apopka, FL, Colleen (William) Babcock of Julesburg, Fred (Melissa Hager) Paquette of Beatrice, NE; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com, where the service will be streamed live for all unable to attend due to the current restrictions.

A private family Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Julesburg with Fr. Mike O'Brien as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery at Julesburg.
