ASHLEY MARIE DEINES, 38, of Ovid, CO, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Sedgwick County Hospital in Julesburg.
Ashley was born January 24, 1985, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Fred "Anthony" and Michelle (Stang) Bryant. A stepfather, Stanley "Butch" Steele, would come to play a unique and fatherly role in her life growing up.
Ashley gave birth to a son, Christian Michael Jesse Shrock, on August 17, 2005. Following her education, she became the general manager of the Clarion Hotel in Pueblo, CO. As life unfolded, Ashley would meet Ralph Shrock of Indiana, and the two were later married in May of 2015. The couple moved to Ovid in 2019 to be closer to family.
In 2017, Ashley was diagnosed with a heart condition that limited her ability to work, and so she went back to school to study graphic design, which she could do from home. She subsequently started her own business, where she designed websites and business logos. She had an extraordinary flair for design. Ashley remarked she would always be remembered for the logo she designed for Overland Park Energy.
Ashley was talented and creative. She loved to do crafts, but her greatest love was for her family. Her creativity always shone through in her life, especially in the ways that she showered her son, Christian, with love. Ashley was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Ashley was preceded in death by her father, Fred "Tony" Anthony Bryant, her grandparents, Isadore and Mildred (Earl) Stang, and her brother, Christopher Michael Deines.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph of Ovid; son, Christian Shrock of Ovid; mother, Michelle Stang of Julesburg; brothers, Jesse Deines of Kearney, NE, Dillon Deines of Scottsbluff, NE; sister, Casey Deines of Scottsbluff, NE; step-brothers, Travis (Christina) Steele and Casey (Teresa) Steele, all of Fort Collins; stepfather, Stanley "Butch" Steele of Fort Collins; uncle, Mike (Lori) Stang of Surprise, Arizona; along with many other relatives and friends.
